During my time as a travel volleyball player, I was faced with many challenges and problems.  One big problem my team had was working together and playing as a team, not as individuals.  The answer to this problem was trusting each other and communicating on the court.  In games we lost, we were dysfunctional and quiet on the court, with no real energy.  In contrast, when we communicated more and trusted each other’s instincts, our energy immediately picked up and we played as a team.  Games in which we played with this energy, we usually won.
